Terms & Conditions of Ticket Purchase

These terms and conditions set out the basis on which you can purchase tickets for your visit to Shackleton Experience. 

By purchasing tickets to the Shackleton Experience, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by them and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. 

  1. It is your responsibility to check the ticket before purchase and ensure information supplied in respect of ticket requirements is accurate. 
  2. Once tickets have been purchased, the ticket is non-changeable and non-refundable. 
  3. All rates are in Euro and inclusive of taxes and applicable charges at the time of purchase. 
  4. Confirmation email will be sent directly to the email address provided during ticket purchase. 
  5. Please retain the confirmation email and ticket and present at the admissions desk on arrival. 
  6. Tickets can only be redeemed on the date and time specified on booking. 
  7. Any person attempting to gain admission without a valid ticket will be refused entry to the visitor experience. 
  8. It is recommended to arrive 10 minutes in advance of the designated time booked. 
  9. For late arrivals, Shackleton Experience will endeavour to facilitate visit and cannot be held responsible for any curtailment or delay in visit. 
  10. Children under the age of 17 years must be accompanied and supervised by an adult aged 18 years or over, throughout the visit. 
  11. Shackleton Experience operates a Free Carers Policy, whereby it offers a free carer ticket to any paying customer who requires essential assistance for visiting the building. Valid documentation is required and will be verified on admission. Acceptable documentation includes medical documentation, social welfare payment letters, or membership cards from organisations like Family Carers Ireland. If valid documentation is not provided, full payment will be requested. 
  12. There is no left luggage area available on site. 
  13. With exception of guide dogs, pets or animals are prohibited within the Experience. 
  14. In accordance with Irish Law, smoking and vaping is strictly prohibited with the building. 
  15. Only food purchased on site, may be consumed on site and strictly no consumption of food allowed within the Visitor Experience section of Shackleton Experience. 
  16. Shackleton Experience reserve the right to refuse entry or remove from premises any person who in the opinion of staff is likely to affect the safety or enjoyment of other visitors, cause annoyance to other visitors or behaving in such a way to cause danger or distress to others or damage the property. 
  17. All reasonable endeavours will be made to ensure that the Shackleton Experience is open for use by visitors during normal opening hours. However, we reserve the right, in our absolute discretion, whether for safety or maintenance reasons or otherwise, and with or without prior notice, to close an experience or an exhibit or any part of it. In the event of the experience having to close, resulting in the cancellation of a customer’s visit, a full refund is offered in respect of ticket purchased directly from Shackleton Experience. 
  18. All customers are responsible for the care of their own belongings whilst on the premises of the Shackleton Experience and we accept no legal responsibility whatsoever for the same. 
  19. Data Protection: We respect your privacy and protect all personal information you provide when buying tickets. The information you provide will be used only by Shackleton Experience to deliver services and to keep you informed with news, offers and future events. We do not forward our database to outside companies involved in marketing. If at any point, you wish to be removed from our database, please do not hesitate to contact us. 
  20. From time to time, we or other authorised third parties may carry out photography and/or video recording and/or other monitoring at the Shackleton Experience which may feature visitors. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please let a member of staff know. 
  21. Visitors are welcome to use all cameras, videos and other recording devices within the building subject to law. However, all such photographs and footage taken shall be for home and personal use only and shall not be sold, used or reused for any commercial purpose whether or not for gain without our prior express permission in writing. 
  22. Photography is permitted for private, non-commercial use only and is permitted in all locations unless otherwise posted. No flash photography or filming permitted. 
  23. Whilst all reasonable efforts are made to ensure that any information contained on the Shackleton Experience website is correct, we make no representations or warranties, express or implied in relation to the accuracy or completeness of said information. 
  24. Shackleton Experience reserve the right to make changes to terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. 
  25. These terms & conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with Irish law and any claim brought under these conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish law.
